These resources are provided for further education for students, alcohol servers, sellers, managers, licensees, and hospitality workers who want to better understand alcohol laws, regulations, and best practices so they can reduce risk, prevent violations, and be more effective in their roles.
- LCB MAST Permit Checker: Use this tool to check a permit’s status, expiration date, and issuing provider.
- Selling Responsibly training is offered by LCB’s Enforcement for free. You can also check information such as Required Signs, Acceptable forms of ID, etc.
- LCB MAST FAQs: answers to common questions about permits, replacement permits, course length, and provider responsibilities.
- LCB Enforcement Education: education and compliance resources for alcohol licensees, managers, and employees.
- LCB Responsible Vendor Program: a free, voluntary, self-monitoring program for eligible off-premises alcohol retailers, including spirits retailers, grocery stores, and beer and wine specialty shops. The program encourages house policies, employee training, responsible alcohol sales practices, and compliance systems that may help reduce violations and legal risk.
- Washington Administrative Code Chapter 314-11: general requirements for liquor licensees, including licensee responsibilities, sales to minors, apparently intoxicated persons, required signs, hours of alcohol sales, recordkeeping, violations, and related compliance expectations.
- Washington Administrative Code Chapter 314-02: requirements for retail liquor licensees, including license types, food service requirements, minor-restricted areas, premises rules, operating requirements, and other information relevant to liquor licensees.
- Washington State Food Worker Card: official food worker card and food handler permit information for Washington food service workers.
- Washington Traffic Safety Commission: DUI and impaired-driving data, traffic safety dashboards, reports, and prevention information that help show the public safety impact of responsible alcohol service.
- National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA): science-based information about alcohol consumption, standard drinks, blood alcohol concentration, and the effects of alcohol on the body.
- BAC and Standard Drink Resources: educational tools that help explain how alcohol affects impairment. These resources should not be used to determine whether a person is safe to drive or continue drinking.
